About
Award winning Illustrator, Catherine Rayner shares techniques and secrets in this not to be missed event!
Tickets only cost: £45.00 for SCBWI members, £50.00 for non-members.
Hot & Cold food is available to purchase.
This is a fantastic opportunity to meet picture book writer and illustrator Catherine Rayner. Catherine was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway medal in 2006 with Augustus and his Smile, and then went on to win the award in 2009 with Harris Finds His Feet.
Catherine will be talking us through her career so far, explaining how she became an illustrator and author. She will share with us some of her early college work, and show us how she develops her books from sketches through to the finished product.
Find out how she works with her publisher, and what is involved in turning her artwork into the finished book.
As well as Catherine inviting us to ‘have a go’ at illustrating ourselves, there will be a Q&A session to give everyone a chance to ask Catherine about her work, and experiences in the publishing industry.
TICKETS ARE BASED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS.
Places are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment!
