About
The fourth Henley Literary Festival, which takes place from September 29 to October 3, is bigger and better than ever.
Appearances from the likes of Melvyn Bragg, Antonia Fraser and Craig Brown are among the 100 events held throughout the town at a range of venues including the Kenton Theatre and the River and Rowing Museum.
The Festival has quickly become established as a one of the country's leading literary events among authors and publishers, as well as audiences that continue to increase. This year's star-studded cast includes Alexei Sayle, Max Hastings, Penelope Lively, Gervase Phinn, Andrew O'Hagan, Stephen Berkoff, Lionel Shriver and Simon Kernick.
Everyone is catered for, ranging from events for youngsters in the Children's Festival and workshops aimed at would-be writers. The hugely popular River Readings return with Love Letters and War Poetry featuring as themes on the boats that cruise down the Thames.
