Here's a non-radical idea: What about meeting up in a pub to
discuss all things literary? I would recommend the Cutty Sark in
Greenwich, it has a great atmosphere but is quiet. Also, nice view
over the river.

Greenwich is not all that central. What about all those noisy
students?

Pubs in central london want at least £5 for a flat,
tainted pint - they're all horrible! And usually very busy. But I'm
open to suggestions. The reason I suggested the Sarky Cut is that
it's quiet, out of the way, and easy to get to from Bank or Tower
gateway via the DLR. Also, they have a very nice conference room
which they let people use for free, if given advance notice (
should things grow to that stage ).

Is anyone still interested in this? I would like to join a central
london group for socialising, criticism and encouragement.
