There’s more than one way to do this, but this is a universal fudge
that’s quite easy.
1. When you find a piece you want to post a link to, keep your
browser open on that page.
2. Open another browser window and come to this Group.
3. Copy the full http:/ location of your favourite piece into the
Your Comment box of The Wall
towards the bottom of the main Group page. (If, for example, it’s a
competition entry, state which number post it is on that
page).
4. Add who wrote it and the title. Add a couple of words describing
what it is; for example: Adult Fiction Novel (Thriller) extract;
Children’s’ Story (8-11 years) extract; Non-fiction book (Writing
Guide) extract; Poem (humorous); Competition entry (flash fiction);
Writing techniques advice; or whatever gives enough information to
describe the work in a line or less.
5. (Optional) Add a few short words about why it’s your
favourite.
Then just hit the Post button. Even if the link
isn’t clickable, it can still be copied and pasted directly into a
browser address bar. You can post to The Wall without checking if
someone has already added the same piece, or you can acknowledge
you agree with someone else’s choice.
The Wall is the only part of the Group where I receive
notifications that something has been added. When I get the
notification, I'll amble along and add your link & details to
the Group Forum Topic: The list of the best writing on the
Cloud.
