Am I alone in wondering what's happened to the monthly Word Cloud competition?

No. I'm with you, Rebecca. We're still waiting for Mr Cloud to adudicate on the December comp! He seems to have abdicated without actually saying so - sat back and allowed the asylum to be taken over by the lunatics. We've been running our own comps since Christmas, although enthusiasm seems to be ebbing a little. Pitty.

Tony - completely without foundation. The comps and the April comp is overwhelmed with entries...

Well, there were 20 entries in December, followed by about 12, 11 and 6 in Jan, Feb and Mar. Granted, your flash fiction comp for April has inspired lots of us; I counted about 40 entries so far! Maybe it's because it only needs 50 words (althougth to write a proper story with a beginnig, middle and end in a few words is actually very hard.) But let's hope this new trend continues.

OMB - B is for Buddha. 40 entries. Hemingway did it in 6 words. Fifty is a luxury.

Can be done, I supppose, but not easy. Especially with a proper, beginning, middle and an end.(where did I hear that before?) lol

I have a great idea for the next comp.... if it's workable, and I promise 100 words.

You've got to win this one, then, Rebecca! Or go into partnership with the winner.

Notebook, Rebecca - electronic or otherwise. At our age, it's the only way.

Tony, you're talking to someone who puts her dental appointments on her computer calender, with a week of alarm reminders, pins up huge notes, build towers, and still misses two of them. I actually went to my GP to check if I had Altzheimers (if that's how you spell it) a few years ago. I also suffer from ....Hell, this the only word I never forget... dysphasia, and disnomer. There's no hope for me.

Ha ha. There's always hope - at least until you forget you have dysphasia, or what it's called Tongue out
