Are they the shoes with clear heels full of red glitter?

Nope, they're blue, and I got them in the sale at Clarks. Sensible,
comfortable and blue. Unlike my other shoes, which are sensible,
comfortable and muddy. And old.

Stinkbombs – so I don't have to queue for the
bar.
Seriously, though, a camera: forgot it last year. And if J. K.
Rowling – who, I assume, isn't invited – decides to crash the
party, I can snap us clinking Budweisers, email the photo to
friends, and say, 'Yeah...Jo and I ended up slamming tequila till
6am – I'm on her speed dial now.'

Will take a note to remind me that the clocks go forward on the
Saturday night (see post, 'small hours') and another sock, if I can
find it.

Yes, because you don't want to miss the tai chi at half five Sunday
morning.
Now then, remember when you were little and you used to have a
pair of mittens with a length of wool holding them together. It
went inside the sleeves of your coat. I'm thinking we might have
to do this with your socks, only threaded through your trouser
legs.

Thank you for your deep concern for my well-being, Blue. And that's
something else to remember. Trousers. I hadn't thought of trousers.
(Actually, I very rarely think of trousers: they're not very
exciting.)

Oh, blimey, do they really? That'll be fun for all those post
gala-dinner heads!

Yes, Emma, the festival is one hour shorter this year... if Harry
remembers...

Oh - I didn't realise about the clocks. I have an anxiety about
waking up anyway as I don't hear my alarm. Any volunteers to bash
on my door 'til they get an answer?

I'll bring a sociable, easygoing persona with not a trace of
shyness. And pretend it's me.
