Hey,

Just decided i am going to travle by train and so...... i heard some rumblings about a possible cloudy meeting on the sunday?? anyone know if this is so and of so what time?

also what time do people usually arrive?? is there lots of people wondering around at 14:00 ish or does it all start at dinner??

I think i'm going to aim to get there by 16:00 on the friday but unless there is a confirmed cloudie meet, i'm gonna run like hell as soon as the end comes on sunday! what is everyone else thinking???

Jocky pooo ;-)

Incidently, anyone who thinks i spelled travel wrong, is actually wrong themselves!!!! Travle is the posh way of spelling it and is commonly used when you use first class transport!!!!! ;-) hehehe

I get into York train station at 14:00 on Friday, at which point I except several gentlemen from the Cloudy Club to rush forward and fight over the carrying of my luggage. Don't worry, they'll be enough shoes for everyone to be able a bag each.

I'm going on the Bronte visit on Monday, so will be about Sunday evening. My understanding is that this isn't catered - is that right? Do we need to find a good Chinese?

I lived in North Yorks for 3 years whilst still running a business in London. I know that train route very, very well. I'm driving.

Yeah, there's not a lot of magic in going through places like Peterbrough, Darlington etc.

I'll be around too, Blue. I'm staying the night because I was flattened by the end of the festival last year, but I'm not going to Haworth: I've been a good few times before. I'm spending monday night with friends nearby.

Yep, I guess we'll be looking for a good Chinese: I saw nothing on the website about sunday night food.

I'm aiming to get to York on Fri for 1.30pm - (give me time to get hopelessly lost round the one-way systems...) don't the workshops start at 2pm? Confused.com here :-/

Yes they do, but not everyone is doing a Friday workshop.

The rest of us are going to wander around with cups of tea causing trouble.

The mini courses on Friday run from 2.00 - 6.00. I expect that people not attending any of them will be filtering in all afternoon. The campus is beautiful so, even if you don't see any other Cloudies, you can sit by the lake and smile at the ducks.

I have mini-courses on Friday. But I'm doing the hangover, so I'm game to get our party on the Sunday :)

Billy – there's lots of York to see in walking distance from the station, and then there are lots of buses to the university from right outside the station – it's a good service (used to be every 10 mins, but you might need to check). If you go on York University website, the bus stops are shown on their map.
Claire - see you there!
