Highly important for me... no doubt my suit, clothes will be
crinkled and wrinkled with a spoonful of sugar...
Will there be irons in the room?
Or should I invest in a travel-iron...

Pretty sure the answer is no - but then I'm not sure I'd know what
one looks like. I like to think my look is dishevelled - with
style.

Definitely with style, Debi.
But why the urge to put a three-dimensional, softly rounded,
constantly moving body into a set of flat clothes?
We've never felt that urge, but then we are quite wrinkly.

Totally agree Debi and John, I don't own an iron (and haven't for
many years). I'm pretty sure I'd be a danger to myself and others
if I tried to use one!
But, Flickimp, if you need one, you're probably best taking a
travel iron - I doing remember seeing one in the rooms last year.

Not worried about ironing - (am sure there won't be one there) -
but all rooms are ensuite shower rooms and I can't shower with my
stitches still in. If they don't take them out tomorrow I'm going
to have to wash my hair in the sink!!

Do you need to wash your hair each day, Autumn? Last year, I had
stittches in my back but I didn't know I wasn't supposed to shower.
So I did - and it was ok. Not that I'm suggesting you do it if
you've been told not to, of course.

Well I did wonder Debi because I have showered before with more
stitches than now - however I think it's because they used finer
thread this time and these dressings aren't changeable - (squeamish
look away)they are sewn on!!
Have appt tomorow but doubt they'll come out because only done last
Monday. My hair is wild if I don't wash everyday - but I can wear a
hat on sat and sun if I can't manage!

They're used to conferences, though: I wouldn't be surprised if
there was an iron to borrow... but I wouldn't be surprised if there
wasn't either.
Sorry, not terribly helpful!

I have checked. There are ironing boards available in the college
kitchens but irons are not supplied. Bring your own, or hang your
clothes up in the shower. :)
