Just to explain this – I wasn’t sure whether I could post links as
a new user :) Wasn't trying to be cryptic.
Celtx is a funky piece of freeware for writing film and theatre
scripts. It’s been around for ages. Got quite a following.

I'm using it.
I'd never tried my hand at script writing before, and was hesitant
to spend the money on Final Draft when my objective was primarily
one of curiostiy. Celtx, being free, served the purpose
perfectly.
It has it's flaws, and a fair sprinkling of minor bugs and quirks,
but it makes the process of laying out a script extremely easy,
even for a complete novice like myself. I picked up the mechanics
of using it very quickly.
Were I ever to get serious about script writing then likely I'd
gravitate to Final Draft. But, as a learning tool, this does the
job for me. And I love having the ability to sync scripts directly
between my desktop and a mobile device.
