Code Overdose

Sorry, only been on here two minutes. Just a couple of things I've noticed :)

1. I often edit in Word and copy to browsers - but if I do that I end up with a page of code on my post :o/ Any way to stop this please? Otherwise I have to edit on Word then copy/paste through Notepad (losing any formatting, such as links). Bit long-winded.

2. When you're writing a new post, it doesn't tell you where you're writing it. Once it's posted you see which forum you're in, but it would be nice to be doubly sure which forum you're posting to at the top of the new post editor.

3. I can't find any way to insert block quotes. It must be possible because I accidentally posted something from another site and it appeared in a block quote, but there's no button and HTML doesn't seem to work - can you edit the HTML of posts? Being able to insert a block quote would be really useful. You can on most forums.

Ermn, I'm done :)

Thanks.

1. That seems to be the only way to stop it. Something about this site and word don't get on.
2. Sadly this is the way SocialGo is built.
3. There is no block coding. You can edit your HTML by clicking on the button to the right of the smilie. But you can only edit it while creating the post, or if it is the very first post in a thread.

Invasion Power Board it ain't. But the advice here is priceless.

Welcome to the Cloud.

Thanks for the info! :)

It is a lovely place - I really like the status update concept, like FaceBook. Adds another dimension.

Out of curiosity - is this software freeware? Is it possible to code the HTML to fix it up? Or is there a users' forum where you can put these fixes forward to the developers? The no-edit, no-delete thing seems insane. Can't be that difficult to code out if you can access it? Must be some willing volunteers? :)
