I don't have a blog, but if I did, it would probably look something
like this:
http://thewitchettygrub.blogspot.com/
*cough*

A new updated list will be needed soon, and Kasubi's would cerainly
be added (if only it existed) *sneeze*
And, of course, Stephy's.
I think there's one for Kalzor as well mentioned on a blog.
Any more - before the next final list?

Great stuff Gerry! When you do the updated list, can you put mine
down as:
www.AdventureWithoutEnd.com
Coz that's my blog, the other is a static page about my book
(though it may be changing soon, fingers crossed!)

Right, well I'm starting my long-overdue blog crawl now. Can't
expect other people to visit me if I don't support them first eh?
There's 22 unique names on this list (including the two from the
comments) - if we all do it, we'll each get 22 new comments! That's
more than some pro bloggers get. Well, maybe.
On a related note, has anyone taken The Cloud up on the offer of
cross promoting? I'm putting up a link to The Writers Workshop
tomorrow and hopefully a few readers will come my way from their
blogroll page. Heh. I love the word blogroll. It reminds me of
just how many blogs out there are only worth wiping your bum on!
Sorry. Couldn't resist.

Done! Blog crawl achieved, at great length! Now thanks to you lot
and your ridiculously prolific writings, my fingertips are sore
before I even start writing! Maybe I should learn to type with more
than two of them, spread the load like.
Now I guess I sit back and wait for my comments to roll in :0)
Love
Tony of the Throbbing Tips.

Tony - you have an awesome blog, you globe trotter you.
Anybody have a FaceBook page? I find it's rather useful for
informing people to 'go buy' ;) Recommend it providing you split
your personal and professional profiles.

Kasubi: There's quite a few of us on Facebook. Tell me more about
splitting personal and professional profiles. (I guess mine is
entriely personal.)

I'm on Facebook - find me easiest thru my email address:
falconts1@aol.com
I experimented with having a professional profile (and a page) -
but I've never gotten around to using them!
DOH.

Hi Gerry - it's nothing technical, it's just about how you present
yourself in different arenas. For instance, my consultancy
business, my author's website, and my FB profile are all under my
real name. With FB, I have my personal profile, where I chat to all
of my friends, and my FB Page, which I administer in a much more
professional way with very little personal input.
I got stung several years ago whilst doing aid work in a not-so
media friendly country and someone used my blog without permission
and out of context to make some rather ridiculous political
statements. They tracked down my name and took my photo from
another site - all of which was terrifying at the time. It was a
cold lesson in personal PR management because, once it's out there,
there's nothing you can do about it. Since then I keep a very
strict distance between my professional and personal life.
On a far more day-to-day issue, I've seen some publishers who have
Twitter accounts and they do absolutely nothing for the
promotion of their business. Mostly it's because they are tweeting
as individuals on a company site, when a company site is about
professional image, rather than what you had for dinner last night
or how your latest contract is progressing.
It's just that sort of thing really. As a writer - or any other
self-employed personage - you are your own brand. When working
under your given name, it can become difficult to separate those
things, but it's worth trying. Not everybody who reads what you
write is a friend. Without being paranoid, something that seems
insignificant now may suddenly become significant later. It's about
damage limitation.
There's a bit more about my blog incident on the Oh Lord! thread.

Oooh only just came across this!
Hope I'm not too late. My blog is;
erebushorror@wordpress.com
(Currently under maintenance due to lack of content - something
which I'm trying had to rectify)

Eek Erebus, I've just posted the latest (final) version at 'Yet
Another Updated List of Clouder Blogs'. Maybe there'll be lots more
Cloudies asking to squeeze in, so I don't know how final it is. On
the other hand, I suspect Harry is thinking of something along
these lines, so I dare say you'll be accommodated one way or the
other (possibly by the time you have some good content).

Hope you're well
