I have self-published two books in the US and fortunately both sold well. However I am thinking of republishing them somewhere else. Can anyone, please tell me if there are any legal restrictions in doing that.

If you've self-published, then presumably you haven't given the copyright away. In which case you can do whatever you like with your work.

The important thing is what it says on the copyright page.

Yes, this is what I thought. But on the copyright page it clearly states: 'This book may not be reproduced, etc..
without the express written consent of the publisher...'
This is what i am worried about.

But if it's self-published, then you're the publisher. What matters is what it says about the actual copyright. It'll be in this form:

if it says © Sam

then you've held onto the copyright and you can do what you like. You're the publisher - you used them to produce the books, but they have no more rights over it than if you'd used your local KallKwick to print them.

if it says © Dandy"Self"PublichingCo Utah

then you've assigned the copyright to them, without realising it, in which case things get a bit more tricky. You'll need to have a look at your original agreement, and see what you signed up to.

(Don't, by the way, confuse copyright, with a licence to publish - which. You may have granted DandyCo the licence to publish your book for you, for a set length of time, in certain territories (confusingly, the licence is often called "the rights" as in "we've sold UK and Commonwealth rights to Random House). The territories and the time limit should both be in the contract. If it's the exclusive right, you can't grant anyone else the rights at the same time. If it's the non-exclusive right then you can.)

Thanks EmmaD. It clearly states: Copyright © 2010 Sam.
What a relief!
Thanks.
