Brilliant!

Although some of them you can sort-of understand, although they do exhibit a certain lack of research.

My teenage daughter was ordering something online, and was enchanted to discover the range of titles beyond Ms/Miss/Dr/Professor etc. on the drop-down list. So every now and again a parcel arrives addressed to

Squadron Leader Lucy Emmasdaughter

I was trying (and failing) to buy some tickets for Covent Garden, and in the same way was sorely tempted to get them sent to

Her Serene Highness Emma...

What a great idea! All this internet Christmas shopping can be made so much more interesting if we try out a different title with every order.

Agreed, love the photo of him – very suave! My favourite by far is ‘Dear Andrew Literary Agency Master Lownie’.

I also plan to compete with Emma and MandC to see who can receive the most preposterous parcel/envelope. My aim? Sultan Captain Morgan.

I like 'Hi dear'.

And Tartan noir? Could this be Lauren Bacall has a night out with the Black Watch?
