Hi All,

I thought I would introduce myself. I have finished my first novel (a crime novel) and I thought I would join this forum. I'm currently getting it professionally critque'd; I know in my heart of hearts that it's not right yet, but I'm determined to persevere onto draft no. 4 once I have my feedback!

I am fascinated by the challenges/opportunities presented by e-publishing and how it might change the world; I've read some of the debates on here and may at some point offer my own humble opinions. I am lucky enough to work in professional sport, an activity whose financial well-being depends almost entirely on the economic exploitation of copyright, just like publishing. It's interesting to compare and contrast the two: in my world, it is the digital revolution which has enabled us to take our "content" out of the stadiums and enable it to be put onto every computer and every handheld device in the world, with the resultant explosion in revenues. Hopefully I may have some observations that will be of interest.

But that's for another day. Right now I just wanted to say hi.
