In your newsroom-set novel, a little drama comes from a reporter
misspelling ‘Gok Wann’ as ‘Gook Wan’ and the paper going to print.
Could anyone get in trouble with Mr Wann’s lawyers if the novel was
ever published?

It's more what you say about people, rather than mentioning their
name in passing. If you had written in your story that Gok had done
x with y, then you may have a problem.

That’s reassuring – just thought it might be a problem because
‘Gook’ is about as offensive as it gets when it comes to East
Asians...
