Help? Researching Medical Techniques

Hi everyone! I hope this is the right place to ask...? I need to
find me a friendly doctor, preferably an A&E doctor, to have a
chat with about medical techniques that I'm writing about in my
current novel, and I have no idea how to go about getting in touch
with such a person. A trawl of friends and family has yielded some
very helpful US-based medics who have been wonderful and have
filled in some of the blanks, but there are some UK-specific
questions I need to get answered (and fairly soon, as in the next
six weeks or so if I'm going to meet my deadline). Does anyone know
how to go about this? I have a "general queries" contact email for
my local hospital but I'm wondering if that's an appropriate route
to go down (and having no luck in coming up with any other
potential route). Any advice I could get would be greatly
appreciated! Thanks, and Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it!

My brother is a doctor (paediatrician, but did his A&E rotation
just like anyone else), but he's in New Zealand right now so I
don't see him all that often... He is a UK trained doctor and only
went out there a year ago, so I could ask him. I just can't
guarantee he'll get back to me in time (he's a pretty busy guy).

I'm a foundation doctor (that is newly qualified) maybe I could
help? I've done some work in Accident and Emergency.
