How
do I make Romeo's virginity and gentleness obivous through his
dancing? I still cant get that flow ...Rudolf was infamous for his
overcomplicated movements. any advice ?
The balcony scene pas de deuxHe raised his right leg in arabesque then in a serious of small steps to the side went further across from just house right stage left portion where he stood. Romeo looked off somewhere left, his mouth open a touch. He put his arms out to the side, material from the oversized sleeves at the bottom hung down. The air seemed harder to breathe in. He rounded both arms holding them so they almost touched out to the left. He straightened his left arm holding it slanted, caressing it with his right till he bent it, and his hand at the palm. He closed his mouth so that he smiled gently. His adrenaline buzzed faster round his body then it had before as he lifted his right leg up again and out to the side all his energy saved for this scene. He tilted his chin up, his right hand on that shoulder and held that position. Every muscle felt pulled up with adrenaline he felt himself going rigid. The lights then lowered leaving him in darkness. Stood on the stage near the three steps Romeo walked to where Juliet stood with her arms raised, lowering them so they were now crossed in front of her face. She turned to the side and lifted her leg extending her arms forward her other arm extended backward. Behind her parallel Romeo stood to the side by Juliet in arabesque looking up at his raised hand and past it to the sky. Juliet who was coming out of her pose looked up to her hand still bending it, her left arm held out behind her. Romeo still behind her watched her as she held both arms momentarily out to the side taking little steps forward. She then raised them, her hands bent at the palm, her face turned to the right Romeo longing in his eyes looked on at her his arms out to the side he propelled himself forward he watched as she held her hands in front of her face, arms bent at the elbows her right arm crossed over her left. Romeo his arms down his sides rounded his arms, his hands almost touching but she had changed from that position and turned her body left her face also in that direction and transitioned both her leg and arms into arabesque. Romeo followed her. Crouched barely out of his position turned his face to Juliet who with the lightest of steps turned away walked round towards the steps at the back of the stage near the midnight blue backdrop the silhouette of the side of a building just viable. Romeo straightened his body walking round towards where she was headed a step or two behind her. Juliet was going into arabesque. The lights slowly began to lower. Romeo behind and parallel imitated her pose. Just as Romeo lifted his leg the lights were almost completely lowered before finally leaving them in darkness. |
