Hi All,

Published in 2007, although the publisher has just informed me that there will be no more print runs (ho hum)...maybe time to think about turning it into a screenplay as Sci Fi Online gave it a 10 of 10 and said it should be a movie, but then again who knows what to believe. Hi Rob - was it a commercial deal with Pegasus? And how did you get on with them as a publisher? I'm curious because it's a name that crops up from time to time, and I've never quite been able to work out whether they're goodies or baddies. Lovely book title, btw. Hope this page sells you a few copies.

Hi Harry,

Sorry about the delay in replying....things catch up...kids, etc...It was almost the standard deal (I was told after having a successful published friend take a look at the contract). Only thing was a low royalty percentage and no advance, supposedly due to being an untried writer. Sales weren't great, but it did turn up in bookshops and there was a marketing attempt, but who knows how much leverage they could have applied as they are smaller than many of the fish in a very big pond. Still, it was a first step and I learned a great deal from the experience. Subsequent work has been better based on that experience.

And thanks Ez...I'm glad that you enjoyed it.

Regards,
Rob
