OK. So you know the wordling basics. (see the Wordling for Simpletons topic, if not).

To save your wordle

Once you're happy with your wordle, press the key on your keyboard that says 'PrtScr' (that's short for Print Screen, although it will do no such thing. The key is towards the top right corner of most keyboards). In effect 'PrtScr' is like a COPY command that copies your entire screen

Now open up your favourite image editing software (like PhotoShop, Corel, etc.). Paste your image into a file. Just literally paste it. That little 'PrtScr' command was all the Copying you need to do. you should find that the image pops up.

Then you crop the image

Then you save it.

That's it! It's yours. Yours forever! A moment's work! A lifetime's pleasure!

To create a logo for the Word Cloud

Now we'd love to have your very own home made wordle for our site logo.

Here, for your reference, are the codes for our site colours, which can be entered by clicking 'Color' and 'Custom Palette'.

#892921 (this is the most important one - as it is the background colour it needs to meld in with)
#31384A
#FDFFE7
#FAFAFF
#F0E69B
#849AA5

Unless you're a design genius, you should probably stick to these. If you use those colours, then your wordles will fit into our site perfectly. Once you've done this just save your wordle as above.

Once you've done this, head on over to the 'Wordcloud' competition on the discussion boards, and post your image by clicking 'add image' in the reply box. And - hey presto - your very own wordle!

Every time we see a wordle we love, we'll get rid of our existing logo and put yours in its place. And we'll tell everyone that it's yours. We'll probably hire a zeppelin and fly it over London announcing your victory. Almost certainly in fact ...
