by Princess Pea 2 years agoHi Edieh, I think about you all too! No, not heard from Terrie, but do keep an eye out for her book from time to time, lol.
Are any of you guys going to the York Writers Festival? It would be good to catch up with you all. -
by John Taylor 2 years agoI'm wondering about some short stuff, too Edieh – just for the fun of it. But I need to write some stories to tell, and that uses a different part of my brain. I would like to hear from Terrie too. I had epilepsy, and it plays a big part in my novel – it's almost another character.

by Edieh 2 years agoOh, and Brookie, I think about you a lot. Still busy with career and writing? Have you or anyone else heard from Terrie? The novel about the girl with epilepsie? I am pleased for Sumayya's trackrecord with publishing. Give me hope!

by Edieh 2 years agoBummer for an aspiring writer to see my typos below. A typist does not a writer make? I admire you that have been busy rewriting and it sound so close, especially for you, John. I have written a short Science-Fiction story, which is more or less finished, but I haven't done anything with it. I am also nearly finsihed with a first draft of a short fictional piece in the chick-lit genre, but with (mostly self-) deprecating humor. I am enjoying as I write, so I don't care so much about publishing. And then I will start a re-write of the novel from 21/02.

by Aiyla 2 years agoNice to hear from you again Brookie. If you have done 5 re-writes this last year then you haven't been procrastinating at all. Well done. And you have been busy too Johnonceupon. Edieh, I haven't finished the editing either. I'm forever starting a new book.

by Princess Pea 2 years agoHey John and Edieh!!
I've been terribly procrastinating over the last year. My book was in it's in first draft when we met, and I've had a indepth report and five rewrites since. I now feel really happy with it, and am about to submit it for another report, with the same reader. I'm also going to the York writers festival in April, and have two short meetings with agents. -
by John Taylor 2 years agoGood to hear from you, Edieh – I'm curious too! How's everyone else doing?
My novel was in a fourth draft at the time of the workshop. It went through two further drafts during the year, with an editorial report from Writers' Workshop and an advanced Arvon course helping along the process. I have been agent-hunting for the last three months – no luck yet, but I have been selective with submissions and haven't hurried the process as I'm working hard on the sequel – about 1/4 through the first draft. Being a contrariwise sort of person, I've got about the same amount of material for volume three.
