by greenpen 1 month agoIt's dead as a dodo. I just came back to see if anything had changed since last time. Why did I even bother?

by Damien 5 months agoSo do any horror writers actually use this group then? It seems a bit desolate - content-wise

by Bilbo 8 months agoHave just finished my first novel in a planned series, its a supernatural romance with a lot of things that go bump in the night! A little unsure what route to take next with it I'm currently looking down the self publishing route.

by Writer 1 year agoJust finished a short story about a vengeful animal acting on behalf of the dead...why do ghosts always return pissed off?

by Bradwyn 2 years agoHi all, I'm not into Horror as such, but like a bit of a fright. I have done a couple of shorts though. If I feel brave enough I might post them.

by Tony 2 years agoI don't really know much about the horror genre. I've read a few horror novels, but the only one that I really connected with was 'The Lair of the White Worm' by Bram Stoker.
I've joined this group because my latest story, 'Blue Butterfly', seems to be going in a horror direction. Perhaps not surprising considering the subject matter, but it was a bit of a surprise to me! I hadn't thought ahead to any extent, the idea I had was just the girl being found in the storm. It's rather exciting to see where the story takes itself!
BTW, it's posted (in two parts) on the critiques forum if you'd like to take a look at it. -
by Ruth by the sea 2 years agoRe: vampire story. I thought I'd put about 2000 words of it on the critiques bit of the forum (according to instructions) on there yesterday, but it doesn't seem to have worked.
Has anyone got some coherent instructions about how to do it? -
by Tan Hadron 2 years agoI'll give it a go! I've only just joined, and I'm starting to try and read through some of the most recent stuff people have put on. There's nothing wrong with a good vampire tale. It may be a saturated market at the moment, but partly that's because there's always been a fascination for the myth. At the end of the day, it is a numbers game, and the silver lining is at least the more there is, the more the chance of some good stories coming out! :-) So good luck with it, and give us a go!
