About
Is there anyone out there in the cloudy stuff who wants to achieve something unusual with fiction?
I know that my work isn't quite 'cutting edge', but it is unusual.
I suspect there are a lot more of you with books that can't wait to burst out of their genre and go courting on other shelves. Manga cookery? Mills and Boon SF? ChickLit Naval Warfare?
Welcome to the uncut edge. A home for relaxed outsiders.

by PsychoPat 2 years agoI working on a book where two science fiction characters get caught in a time, dimension and fiction warp and end up stuck in the middle of Wuthering Heights.
They end up running on the moors and interfering with Heathcliffe and Kathy. Considering the tragic implications, it all turns out a lot better than the original.
In fact, the only death occurs when it all turns into a musical, Cliff Richard appears, claiming to be Heathcliff, and he's attacked by literary critics who have been brain-washed by the Taliban.
It's a cross between drama, romance, mentalism, and a subtle combination of The Benny Hill and the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
I think it's probably too far over the edge to be considered cutting edge, so I'm in (sane) :-) -

by John Taylor 2 years agoWelcome to the edge, Ernest. I wondered if you might be around. No bull.
Beards. I stopped wearing one when it grew whiter than my hair, and I discovered it wasn't the dandruff. -
by Dog Breath 2 years agoBeards! Not enough beards, that's what's wrong with the world. That and cable-knit sweaters.
