  I think it's certainly lost momentum and in the meantime, people have found other writing commitments taking up their time. Well, it was worth a try and it'll always be here so anyone is welcome to come along whenever they feel like it to add some more. Well done Ama and Pete for trying to keep it going :-)

  The Topaz Egg is addled ... isn't it?
  
  There has to be more than just me and Pete keeping the project alive and I'm sure the lad - like me - has better things to do with his time than hang around here.
  
  Thank you so much, Skylark for trying to resurrect the Egg but I think it was doomed from the moment Barb and the Old Guys took off like a gaggle of purse-lipped nuns.

  Happy to report that I just posted the first segment in Topaz Egg Resurrected. If the story dies now it won't be because I killed it off!

  So ... I've gone back and re-drafted the bit I had to cut before my last contribution to Barb's original Topaz Egg. I'll post it before this day is out.
  
  Such a shame Barb is not here to see that Amarantha has - unusually for her - managed to stay within the word count rule!
