Dear 'Word Clouders'
All the best for the coming year and success for your various projects.
My highlight of the 'festive season' had been a visit to the 'Old Vic' to see a performance of 'Noises off' by Michael Frayn which I saw on a Saturday matinee on the weekend before Christmas.   If you get a chance to see this particular production, do go.

HNY Mike - hope it's a corker. Think the highlight of my year was Woody Magpie.

I had a quiet Christmas (aka boring), and my highlight was Mike’s contribution to a friend’s buffet.

He bought a flan base, the wrong type of jelly and pineapple (which won’t allow jelly to set) as his contribution and passed it to my friend the week before Christmas to give her plenty of time to put all the hard work in to preparing the perfect fruit flan. When passing the ingredients over, he suggested cream would go nicely with it!

I attempted to make said ‘flan’ on Boxing Day, after buying the right fruit, the right jelly and some cream but ended up chucking it all in a bowl and turning it in to a trifle. Mike was not amused!

After dishing out the trifle, Mike’s other half commented, “It was very nice, but a flan would have been better.” I’m not sure why I found it so funny, but I did!

    Christmas is great, isn’t it!!!

    Glad you enjoyed your show.

Best Wishes for a Happy New year x
