Of course I'm familiar with the acroynm A.S.A.P., and realise the importance of getting a family choir together - any sort of choir, really - to placate a wrathful god, and the importance of doing so as soon as possible. We really have screwed up the planet and naturally he's very annoyed with us - but what does the 'h' stand for?

Nothing? Which is exactly what his "god" is.
I really think it's time people crawled out of medieval superstitions. We're in the 21st CENTURY now, not the 16th.

Why oh why are people still allowing themselves to be brainwashed by sky fairy worshippers in this day and age?

Religion is like politics. You do what you want to do and don't tell others what to do. Each to their own. Who are we to belittle other people's faith?

Exactly, Weens. Having recently watched a programme on the Holocaust, which is still haunting me, I think it's essential that we all live and let live.

Absolutely. If people take strength and guidance from a religious faith, good for them. It's much more than just a belief in a man in the sky so if people want to follow that path, let them do it.

Quite, Inky. And how can any of us claim that our opinion or belief is the correct one and everyone else is deluded?

Exactly Spangles, and that's where the problems start. Nothing worse than a closed mind that thinks it's right.

I used to be able to say, 'I'm always right even when I'm wrong', my maiden name was Wright!

If I had the energy to sing I would join you in praise. it lifts the spirit, good for the world, good for me, and maybe good for the Lord.
Funny how a belief is called Fairy tales, the people who believe have proof enough for themselves. Maybe those who are 'religious' don't believe in magic. We are many and various and complex and hopefully open to others, it is hard to open ones heart. When I was young I used to be so sure in some ways, and judged I could tell what people were like but then I learnt about transference and have studied transcendence - is this all gobble de gook, I'll pop and meditate a while as singing is out of the question, breathing would be good.
