Pretty much sums up how I feel right now.....

Although I desperately try to count my blessings each and every day, why oh why oh why do I struggle to find the answer to EVERYTHING, when in fact in most cases....there isn't one?!?!

Just when you think you're getting somewhere, something or someone stands in your way like a brick wall, or a door is blatantly slammed in your face.  I have to admit that much of this is due to my own procrastination and lack of will, excuse making, you name it I'm doing it at the moment.

The book is nagging at the back of my brain endlessly, like a little voice whispering irritatingly "come on, you know you wanna pick me back up and finish me" then I get the other evil little voice saying "nah, not enough time, LOSERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.....you have no decent ideas left".....I battle with the ideas, witty one-liners, plot-lines etc etc, then just when I think I should write them down, just like a puff of smoke they're gone and I begin again to beat myself up at not doing things sooner.

Frustrated????...YES I AM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe what you need is time away from writing for a while. But be sure to carry a notepad around with you, just incase any shots of inspiration show themselves.

Good luck. . . Just try to relax.

Ah, I know how you feel. But the mind works in mysterious ways so don't worry. I'm sure that when you have a little more free time and get back to writing, those long lost ideas will return. Good luck.

we all have the ability to sabotage our desires and plans - try to recognise when you are doing it and change the script - even if it is only a little bit.

Very few of us have the time to write anything down. You have to make the time: for instance, what are your hands doing while you're having a poo? They could be writing! (Grunt, strain, scribble). For most of us, getting a novel written would be an extraordinary achievement, which requires an extraordinary effort. No excuses: make time for writing, or give up on the whole idea.

Do you think your book is better in your imagination than the reality? I think that might be a common problem

I think of a brilliant idea, but putting it into words some days is such an effort, and when I eventually DO get it in black and white it never looks as good as how I imagined if you know what I mean? I know that everyone writes differently, and their habits towards the pen are diffferent ...I feel like I need to know what the ending is going to be...or if there isn't going to be an end (perhaps a sequel) then how would I end this book in the first instance ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!
