Classical Music: It is Very Nice:

I enjoy Bach for a few reason, but I'm not fantastic at conveying everything I enjoy of his work--but if I'm going to say my favourite piece is, it would have to be Air on a G String, simply a brillient piece. Nothing could've been better composed.

Found it around a year ago when watching a fight sequence in NGE The End of Evangelion, amazing how you can turn mindless horror of war into something quite beautiful, each swing, kill and dismemberment became part of it--every single action became entwined to the destructive beauty. That's how war footage should be presented--ironic beauty with everything happening to show the worse of the human condition while Air on a G Sting played over it.

I prefer carnage without a backing track, personally. But if you're interested in hearing some other examples of sublime music, try Beethoven's late string quartets (Die Spaten Streichquartette Opus 127, 130 131, 132 and 135) and the grand fuge (Grosse Fuge Opus 133) which are practically guaranteed to blow you away. Gounod's Sanctus from the Messe solennelle de Ste Cecile is also worth a listen, as is Vivaldi's Gloria. 'I Know That My Redeemer Liveth' from Handel's Messiah is a miracle of brevity and light, and the divine Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate (K165) and Laudate Dominum from Veserae solennes de confessore (K339) will quite possibly leave you entirely speechless. Happy Listening, Meta Tam! Love, Beep :-)

Did you download Bach's air on a G String? Would be good accompaniment to the cloud?
Do you only watch/enjoy savage movies?
