Finding spirituality

You seek refuge in words

That other people drop

I say there is no shame in that

Words are nobody’s country

You seek relief in novel concepts

Or old concepts in brand new forms

I say there is no harm in that

Old beds, new sheets, new sleep

To be cynical about cynicism

To be violently against violence

To noisily eulogize silence

Is refreshing on a fresh new day

You see wings unfurl

From behind the guru’s back

There’s nothing wrong with seeing angels

One feather, new faith, new flight

I love this Padma. I have just started meditation and yoga - so maybe it is talking to me through those experiences...

This is a lovely piece; light and refreshing, and at the same time, if you spend a moment, so very deep. Very zen.

    This is so true.
I always wanted to read a book about angels.

I found it pwaceful, tolerant. A breath of fresh air.

Nice one, Padma. I love the cynical about cynisism / violently against violence / noisily euologise silence.

    Ez one the best definitive books on Angels is by Billy Graham, see;

    Hi Padma,
I'm normally not too big on poetry - I find it too intense - but this was soothingly clear. Many thanks.
