P1000449.JPGP1000444.JPGWell I survived the medieval wedding relatively unscathed with only a few more notches on my sword!

'Twas a great night and everyone made such an effort with the costumes.  So one down and one to go next weekend .....and the good news is ... my beard has been given a stay of execution!

This morning we had to do a final fitting for our kilts for son's wedding.  When I appeared resplendent in full regalia the consensus was that, actually, the beard suited the kilt ... especially the sporran! So Yay for beard!

Trying to upload some pics here but it keeps cutting bits of me off!

The Cylon and the Stig in the top picture seem a little out of place . . .

Oooo! Mediaeval Munchkins, what fun! Obviously you had a good time Mcallan. Hope your son's wedding is hitch-free ... er ... I meant gremlin-free and we get some good photos of that too.

Best wishes to the Bride and Groom. :-)

Mac - I'm liking the beard.

Cannonball is back in the charts too - very timely.
    What else did they play?
    Joust An Illusion - Imagination.
In Da Club - 50 Groats.
Could It Be Magic - Merlin
    Or maybe Arthur's Song?

So, does the beer help you stay on the old charger then?

An interesting question Alan. It makes you think you can stay in the saddle for longer, but it actually makes it harder to keep the lance at the correct angle.

By the way I should point out who the assembled persons are in the first pic! Front row eldest son, wife to be next weekend and Lady Mac and of course moi. Back row brother of the medieval bride (don't know where she did off to!) youngest son and his partner (who has his eyes closed for some reason!)

Does look like fun. What about a picture of the happy couple? And since there was so much make-believe around, are they really married?
I think the beard will go with a kilt as well. Hope the next wedding goes well for you and yours.

I suppose the advantage of doing it this way is that you don't look back at your wedding photos in twenty years and cringe that it all looks so dated!
