Here's a Sample Website

From time to time Cloudies wonder about setting up a website. We use the Mr Site package (the whole family) and Matthew, our son, has just put his site up live. It's not a writing website - it's for violins - but it could still be useful in demonstrating the potential of Mr Site. Would this sort of thing suit you? (If you want a writing example, you could try mine - gerryfenge.com - easily googled.)

How refreshing to visit a website that's not too busy. Does what it needs to without over-flamboyance. Although, I did particularly like the analogue clock. Does you son still have to pay a host for the web address or anything?

The Standard Mr Site package costs £39.99 (or £33.68 on Amazon). Because Matthew needs a shop he's using the Professional package at £99.99 (or £82.39 on Amazon). The web address comes with the package.

I use the Standard Package and must renew each year for - I forget - something in the £30s or £40s. I too get my domain name with the package (and an analogue clock amongst the widgets).

By the way I use Typepad for my Blog - gorra have a website and a blog y'know - for which I paid, I think, £24 for the year. A trifle pricey all these things, but I want the sites to look good. (Just changed the background colour on my blog from blue to purple - maybe green next? - red?)

Ta for the info - those are very not bad prices for the whole caboodle.

Next: shocking pink or lime green. Then tartan.
