Home improvements

May I just say that we've had the builders & decorators in recently? Although the Word Cloud part of the WW website hasn't changed, everything else is revamped and looking spiffing.

The changes include: new wallpapery background. New menu boxes. Loads of cartoons dug from the archives. A host of little fiddly changes to make things prettier. Content that's clearer and to the point. Oh, and it's now possible to pay for services directly from the website, which is an overdue change but makes us feel very grownup.

If anyone would like to tiptoe round our new abode - taking care not to bring muck in onto the carpets or put sticky fingerprints on the walls - then please be our guests. There will be a maid to take your coats and hats when you arrive. Canapes will be served in the drawing room.

While we would expect the general tenor of your comments to be gushingly positive, we may also be receptive to the odd bit of constructive criticism. Um ... do you like it?

Oh Harold! (May I call you Harold?) :) It really is sparkly and lovely, very nice job done. I do so enjoy the Victorian styled wallpaper and the boxes that move when you hover over them.

    Lovely stuff. x

Yep - works for me. Gives the impression of a friendly, professional organisation run by humans, not pound signs. As an aside, Daren King's 'Boxy an Star' has turned up on the MA reading list this year. Nice to see him on the list of WW editors.

I took my shoes off outside the door and I didn't leave fingerprints on the freshly polished silver; pretty much left the place as I found it - re-vamped and spiffing! I love the way it is now so easy to hand over our dosh - I'm almost tempted to have a go just for fun! Good job!

Oui, moi likes it. Couple of things I spotted - the links to the Cloud and the Festival don't work on the Fees page; tsk, tsk.
And the biog for the boss is a tad out of date, n'est pas? Bingo has at least *two* non-fiction credits to his name and imminently *three* as far as moi is aware - not just the one? Big yourself up, monsieur! Pourquoi pas? Why no mention of the one about Stuffy Money and t'other about Going to the Pub, or somefing? :)

OK, all very nice comments, but WHO'S TAKEN THE FISH KNIVES? And, Whisks old chum, I'll need to have a look at those dead links. Thanks!

Looks very good - clear, smart, easy to navigate. While we're on dodgy links, on the 'getting published' page - the one for the book - the link to 'read a sample excerpt here' goes somewhere else. http://www.writersworkshop.co.uk/gettingpublished.asp

And not that I'm having a diva moment, or anything, but Karen Connolly isn't the only WW editor to have her own Wikipedia page. (Englishness compels me to say that I didn't write it, nor even know it was there till it was - um - there...)

Very clear, and yet more helpful tips than when I last looked, Harry. I had a quick dust round behind the aspidistra. You can't get the servants these days, can you...
