Pictures on the internet

Dissolution of memories,
there's no anchor to your past
it sails free, while each moment, each day
is monotonously followed by the next . . . for me.

There's a story behind your smile,
one of never-ending petty arguments
and seemingly eternal conflict,
which you pulled through
and as reward were
reborn from the ashes
of our coexistence.

In finding someone new,
your smile has been renewed, and now
from an outsider's perspective:
you are happy . . . and strangely
I find some degree of comfort
in that smile.

There's no real reason I'm posting this. I decided I'd write a blog as it's been eons since I've written anything here. It's really shit though, I've just rambled on about nothing at all. There's nothing behind this, it's just words. I don't like poetry really, aside from Anna Akhmatova's Requiem it's never really done anything for me

    Hi Zomb00.

I love these words. You can't anchor your past as every moment becomes your past and it evolves by the second...

    It isn't shit ! It's a very good poem.

I love reading your work and am so glad you posted something - Post some more soon.
