That's magic, folks

Many of you will remember Harry's blog about Sean Walsh, whose illustrated children's fantasy, Peripherealm, was taken on by David Headley after York.

An article about Sean's magical journey has appeared in Fantasy Faction.  It was written by Sandra Norval, one of the Desk Dragons (in the nicest possible sense) of the Book Doctor sessions at York.
Link to the article is here:

If anyone needs reminding about Sean's personal story, I blogged about it here.

This particular good news story always give me shivers. I love that fantasy is still being taken on when everyone is so down on the genre. I read an interesting blog about whether J K Rowling and Mrs Meyer have in fact damaged the genre and ruined it for the rest of us. I hope not and I shall persist!
I'll be in touch Debi, through Harry of course :) I'm just completing boring business stuff so that I can earn some money then i'll be back to my novel.
Sean is a really nice guy, i'm so pleased for him :)

Glad my simple little story is still rumbling on and creating a warm feeling in fellow cloudies' tummies!
David has been in touch and the final edit is just about done, then onto impressing those publishers.
    I'll keep you all posted.
And by the way Kiki, I can assure you, if I can do it so can you. People down on Fantasy....the fools! We all need to escape a little once in a while. It's not been ruined, we all need to just offer something a little bit left field to get noticed.

Yes, there's a proven appetite for fantasy and new ways of creating worlds will always find an audience if they're good enough. Sean/Cassius's is.
