Things to do before I die

Just chatting to EZ about some of the things on our "Things to do before I die" lists.  So far we have swimming with dolphins, hugging orang-utangs and hot air ballooning over the serengeti.

Anybody out there got any burning ambitions to do anything weird or wonderful before shuffling off?  Or, equally interesting, has anybody been able to tick an experience off their list?

Getting something published would be nice! Looks like it'll be a close thing, though...

To hopefully look back upon the years, and remark that 'I have lived.'

In 1990/91 I took a year off and backpacked around the world. I am by nature quite a timid and shy person (that noise is my family and friends laughing). I completed several activities that surprised even myself. Jet boating, white water rafting, black water rafting (that was really hairy)and absailing. I couldn't quite bring myself to do the bungee jump and I wished I had taken a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon as the opportunity to do that will more than likely never arise again.

My daughter did a bungee jump when she was travelling in Thailand with friends. At the top platform she was all set ready to go for when it was her turn. But when her turn came and she was told what to do she got nervous. She was told 'I will count to three then you jump, ok'
'One two three' - but she didnt jump. Ok count again. 'One two three jump'. No. 'Last time. one two th...' 'aaaaahhhhhhh......'

Poor girl she fell off and did it all wrong. She was absolutely terrified and no she wont be doing that one again. And I wont be putting it on my list either!
