Tribute (Representation of a car crash and its mental effects)

I heard a story of a man who is having severe backlashes because of a bad car crash. This tribute is unfinished because his story is still being written. I hope that its ending may be better than it is looking as of right now

A path stretches out, invisible walls and wooden boundaries the only things holding the massive metal beasts as they travel. Light shines from their eyes and growls grow deep within their throats as they continue down a night’s journey.

One, lonely, but full of energy, prowls through the darkness to reach its destination.

Another, tired and weary, crawls forward, struggling to pay heed to the invisible boundaries that held it in place, that kept it safe.

Both beasts were travelling the same path and came face to face. In an instant, teeth were bared and the beasts clash together in a frightening and frenzied battle of control for the side of the path on which they stood.

It only took one blow.

The beast, so tired and weary, was slain by the beast full of energy, though it was unknowing of what had happened.

Life had been taken; damage had been done in more ways than one. The beast fell into a deep sorrow, nightmares plagued its sleepless nights, and the mind replayed the scene over and over again.

Would there be no rest? Would there be no release?

So continues the story of the metal beast.

An original and effective concept for the description of the crash, Mythwriter. An empathic tribute. 'It only took one blow.' made me shiver, as I had a vivid image of the moment of impact.
