feedback
By WeensI was always frightened of not having enough to say (my friends and family would not believe that one), but since I found the Word Cloud, I've realised it doesn't have to be War and Peace.
I'm currently struggling with my synopsis. It's the first one I've ever done. At c1400 words, I know it's too long, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to shorten it, I've missed so much out already. If you read this and you have the time to spare, please give it a look. I am desperate for feedback. I've posted it on the critique page (I think!!!) and it's called 'Two Left Shoes'
No one has yet answered the question of why it is preferable to get an agent v a publisher. If anyone knows the answer to that, would they let me know. Thanks.
Well folks, that's it for this blog. I'm (hopefully) looking forward to hearing from you all. Oh and can someone tell me what Planet agent and Planet Publisher are please.
Two Left Shoes

Gosh, this is all a bit bewildering.
After about an hour, I managed to get my synopsis up for
feedback. Why it wouldn't just copy and paste I'll never know. It
doesn't like apostrophes. It seems it chops the rest of the
sentence off after an apostrophe, and let's not mention the
layout. Alright let's mention the layout. Why it changes the
layout is beyond me. Ho hum, I suppose I'll get the hang of it.
Talking of getting the hang of it, I can't for the life of me,
work out how to join in the conversations. I've managed to join a
couple of groups (one gold star). It's not that I'm thick, it's
just that ..... well, I suppose I'm thick!!!!
After I get feedback on my summary, I will be ready to send off
my first novel. Just a couple of questions to answer. If anyone
reads this, can they tell me
a) why it is preferable to approach agents as v publishers, and
what about publishers who say they are looking for new
novelists?
b) Do I mention that I wrote my book whilst suffering from
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME. Would that be a selling point
(triumph over adversity maybe) or is that wishful thinking.
I think I've done everything arse upwards. I didn't find any
sites like this until after I finished my book and now I've found
out that I have done so many things wrong. Well maybe I'll be
lucky and find an agent who really likes my story. I've had this
book in my head for nigh on thirty years and this has been the
first opportunity for me to get it on paper. I did do a good four
months research before I started, so I did something right
(another gold star?).
Well. here's hoping.
