I entered this last year. My novel still has no classification. Are they trying to tell me something? If it was no good, they should just put 'crap'

Tony, do we have anywhere to post links to comps? Good Housekeeping has a novel comp going, too.

Prize is publication and £25k advance, entry is free, deadline March and ms does not have to be finished (is this normal?)

but I wasn't sure if it's been posted here before.

You can create an 'event'. I'm not sure if that's how we're supposed to post comps. But puting the link in a blog works, too - which you have done. Thanks.

Anyone else feel free to add any other imminent comp. links that they are aware of.

I think 'Events' is the place. The trouble with posting in a blog, is that it disappears into the undergrowth in no time, but as an 'Event', it stays on the front wall and 'counts down' until it's expired, so late-comers can see it until the closing date.
Good to post it at all though. Thanks.

P.S. I notice (now) that only the most imminent five appear on the front page, but the other up-coming events are visible via 'Events' tag. I assume that it rolls as time goes by.

Thank you for Yeovil info, Tony. Charlie - not sure who posted info on the Good Housekeeping comp. originally, but I thank that person, as it is my main goal at present.

Good luck all, whatever comp. you may enter.

While we're on the subject, this is a very good site for a roundup of competions, maintained by the heroic (as well as delightful) Sally Quilford

Thanks for that one, Emma. I've bookmarked it. Great stuff.
Thanks, Whisks, for the comments on Events.

The Good Housekeeping Comp is excellent as there is no fee, and offers great prizes. However, sadly for me, it is only for UK residents.
Last year, the Yeovil comp. charged 16 pounds.
