"Weens" commented on Captain Morgan's Blog "Rules for writers, by writers.".Having just completed yet another creative writing course with the Open University, it's a relief to get back into the real world, where you do not have to stick so literally to 'the written rule'. Most of the good books I've read break a rule here ...

"Weens" commented on Weens's Blog "Broken Glass.".I have to say that I've never heard the like. I got a call this morning and the engineers are coming on Friday to take pictures and write a report. I'm sure they will have come across this before, but I can not think of one feasible reason why it ...

"Kate7" commented on Weens's Blog "Broken Glass.".Thank god you weren't in the kitchen doll. I hope you get it sorted soon. I wonder what caused it?

"Gerilyn" commented on Weens's Blog "Broken Glass.".Totally bizzare- and your didn't hear anything? Our washing machine makes the drainer rack above it vibrate so much that pans are always bouncing off the work top...which makes me think that it could be the constant spinning rather than the temp ...

"MinxieAD" commented on Weens's Blog "Broken Glass.".Good job you weren't in the kitchen at the time! It could be a kitchen poltergeist? They steal teaspoons too! I’d count my teaspoons if I were you. Seriously – what a pain in the rear – hope it gets sorted soon x

"Skylark" commented on Weens's Blog "Broken Glass.".How strange! I've never heard of that happening either. Hope it gets sorted soon....in the meantime, while Alan clearly scoffs at the idea of ghostly happenings, I've just read Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger and my imagination is running ...

"Tony" commented on Weens's Blog "Broken Glass.".You'll certainly be able to write a cracking story about this, Weens, but I'm sorry you've had all the hassle. Hope the engineers sort it out quickly for you.

"AlanP" commented on Weens's Blog "Broken Glass.".It's probably more common than they'll ever admit. Hot, cold, hot, cold - it must generate a lot of stresses. In our bathroom the inside panel of a double glazed window unit did the same thing. Just went bang. Bits everywhere. Glass under stress ...

"Caducean Whisks" commented on Weens's Blog "Broken Glass.".How bizarre! I've never heard the like. It couldn't have been caused by a kick from that donkey you keep in the kitchen, could it, Weens?

"Jill" commented on Weens's Blog "Broken Glass.".Thank goodness you were not in the room when it happened. Hope the matter is resolved soon. Strange and very worrying that the washing machine was not in use when it happened. If you do not get quick and satisfactory action from the company, then ...

About
I am housebound due to ME/Chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and Chrones disease. Consequently, I have to rest for a large portion of the day, I also have to have 'activity periods' between the rest. For years, I have been filling these up with, reading, watching TV etc. Two years ago, I dragged myself into the twenty first century and bought a computer that was internet ready. (My previous computer was twenty years old, need I say more). This proved to be quite a turning point in my life. Suddenly, I had the world at my doorstep. I now am less isolated and have contact with the outside world again. Making friends on sites like this has been wonderful for me. Once I had the computer, I decided to have a go at writing the book that has been in my head for years. Once I started writing, I couldn't stop. I enjoy it so much. I would never have dreamt it would give me so much pleasure and satisfaction. I love this site, reading others work and critiques. I have learned so much, and I really enjoy conversing with like minded people. I have had a tiny article (and I mean tiny), published in a magazine, and I have just finished a creative writing course with the Open University. Well, that's me in a nutshell. If I haven't spoken to you, please come and speak to me. I don't bite, honest.

by SecretSpi 15 days agoWeens, that was one of the famous Cloudy un-birthdays! When it really is my birthday (1st Nov), it never gets shown! But thanks for your wishes - rather nice to have out of the blue so maybe there is method in the Cloud madness.

by CJ 4 months agoHi Weens - how are you? So nice to hear from you again! Without boring you, life is kicking my butt a little bit right now (we've all got this lurgy that is taking AGES to go away - I think we've had it on and off now since November - Emily still isn't sleeping through and the boiler packed up this morning... talk about wanting to scream!), so I've not had much time to do anything much at all. Still, never mind - tomorrow is another day!! xx
