I see exactly what you mean and I share your concerns. If this place goes down the Swanee then we all lose our SE stuff, regardless of membership elsewhere, unless Harry has a contingency plan.

On the subject of the SE course, to be fair Harry has said that the Cloud will continue indefinitely and that reduced usage may extend its life so far as any Social Go glitches are concerned. So we do still have access to all our material and to all ...

I can’t see any way to set up groups. But I have not really explored yet. It’s not obvious but might be there.

"BellaM" commented on Harry's Blog "Anyone spot any changes?".
The Word Cloud now looks absolutely unspeakable and I'm not sure how long I can cope with it. You will be pleased to hear, Harry, that your introductory founder member offer at £150 per year, fixed forever, was good enough to make me get out the ...

"BellaM" commented on Harry's Blog "Of Jericho, clouds, and community".
@ Gus - as I understand it, the name Jericho comes from the district in Oxford where the WW (as was) office resides. There used to be a wonderfully louche cocktail bar there called Raoul's. I wonder if it still exists. But I have to say that I have ...

"BellaM" commented on Harry's Blog "Of Jericho, clouds, and community".
Thank you for coming here to give some more explanation. For myself, as an established Cloudie, I can say that I probably will join and gorge. I am in the fortunate position of having a bit of money to fling at my writing - but even though I can ...

"BellaM" commented on Tony's Blog "The Walls of Jericho".
I think we all love the Cloud. Well, we must do or we wouldn't be here. And I would pay some money were the Cloud to continue as is (in an ideal world on a more stable platform, but without courses loading the system maybe it doesn't need changed). ...

"BellaM" commented on John Alty's Blog "Is the story everything?".
I enjoy Dan Brown, and John Grisham. I even ploughed through the whole Fifty Shades trilogy because actually there was just enough story to make me wonder how it all worked out in the end. The writing is indeed risible and the sex scenes so ...

"BellaM" commented on Philippa's Blog "Psychology "Trust" Survey (a favour)".
I have done the survey but Hil's observations are very valid. For me the soup scenario is really a question of weighing up whether throwing soup in my face or poisoning me is worth the perpetrator's while and trust doesn't necessarily come into ...

"BellaM" commented on Scarlett's Blog "Does your character have a lie?".
This was indeed interesting to read and very useful. I agree with everything Giselle has said and I am a pantser too. However, even as I was reading your blog I was thinking about the MC of one of my WIPs currently in its umpteenth re-edit, and was ...

Fantastic. I'm thrilled for you and wish you well with the re-write. Strangely enough I was just looking at Emma's blog, saw the post about multiple POV that you made her write, and then came back here to see what's happening, only to find your news.

"BellaM" commented on Squidge's Blog "Creating characters".
I watched a very good film the other week (forget the name - sorry) where one character asks the other "What's your favourite colour?" He says a colour and she just gives him a look. He thinks about it and then says "OK, that was a lie, I guess. I'm ...
