by Tony 8 months agoWell, I'll go along with the crowd and assume it's your birthday, Em. Have a great one! I was at a young friend's 40th on Saturday. Her sister's card said: '40 looks good on you; 39 is soooo last year.'

by Jill 1 year agoOh my goodness, Em! What a colourful life you lead over there. That must have been so scary, being charged by an elephant. Hope the two wounded/ill men will be ok and that the cook's daughter's baby is thriving.
Well done for finishing the book and good luck with the submissions. I'm just about to submit a synopsis and covering letter by email and have entered some poetry in a competition since we last spoke.
My arm is healing well - I now have physio exercises to do and mobility is improving, but they make my arm ache! Will be worth it in the long run. Physio was pleased with the progress I'd achieved by myself and that the shoulder/arm joint had not ceased up. It will be some time, though, before I can raise arm right above my head without the aid of the other arm. Can raise it to the horizontal now or slightly above for a short while, to that is quite good.
Happy writing! Jillx

by karen 1 year agoPerhaps you visited The Wheatsheaf on the A30? Do you remember the Cellar Bar - steep steps, bad lighting, lots of smoke - a health and safety nightmare if it were allowed in 2010!
