Wow. There are only two people online on here right now ...
  • Are you a ...?
    Self-published author
What genre do you primarily write in?
    Are your reading habits ...?
    Who is your favourite author(s)?
Neil Gaiman, Catherynne Valente, Danielle Boodoo-Fortune, Sarah Elwell and The Random Writers ^.^
And your all time favourite books? (You can change these at any time, by the way ...)
Chronicles of Narnia, The Enchanted Forest Chronicles
What are your working habits when you write?
Are you the edit-every-sentence-ten-times type, or do you prefer to let rip?
    Ten times? Why so little?
    Your ultimate writing ambition?
To become a traditionally-published working author, that is to be able to earn a steady and substantial income from my writing.
    Your worst habit?
    That's embarrassing ... :P
Your opinion on the books industry?
Too much celebrity and hype, but good books still get through
    Where do you write?
What else do you want Word Clouders to know? eg: do you have 9 cats / like paragliding / eat nothing but tinned fish / work in the bath / live in Kettering?
I have two cats and a 1 year old daughter, and I enjoy hiking and sushi xx

Thank you so much for your comment on Sea Defences. You are very kind. I loved writing that story. It won't go away and wants to become something bigger!

Aw, thanks, Foxrose :-) I haven't read all the other entries yet, but interested to see what you've come up with.

Thanks Foxrose. I thought less might be more, this time round. I've been reading my way through all the competition entries, when I have some free time, and I've hugely enjoyed the variety and the spread of imaginative interpretations of the theme. Your entry is very striking, if I may say so - there's a lot packed into those 400 words.

Ha, thanks Foxrose! Very proud to have given someone the heebiejeebies :-). Hope you've recovered. Your entry is lyrical and powerful - like an allegory.
