    I'm a full time scientist in Cambridge. I love my job which is to breed and count flies. I like to wide range of tools we have in these flies like curly wings, or vistigial wings and stubbly bristles. Interesting stuff.

    I think you will find that most writing competitions charge a fee. That's how they get their prize money. There are only the odd ones that are free I think.

    No, I didn't. You could have told me BEFORE the closing date, lol. I haven't written anything good enough to send off yet. I'm looking at the Writers Mag and Myslexia and I am going to plough through the Artists and Writers year book. Good luck with the BBC comp.

    lol! Ah yes, the pike - I remember it well. Two months ago, eh? I like a man who ponders things and doesn't just run into friendships willy-nilly. (I think I preferred the fruitfly to the shrink-wrap btw.) :-)

    Hi flyman, thanks for watching the video. You are spot on about the lack of funding. All we can do is what we are doing currently, petitioning the government, raising awareness and hoping that the USA research finds a cure for this soon.
