About
James Rainsford was born in Kent and attended school in Essex. He spent three years as a seaman in The British Mercantile Marine. He attended the University of Sussex where he read Philosophy, English and History. He also has an Advanced Diploma in Special Needs from The University of Wales. His subsequent career has mainly been in education. He's have been a teacher in both primary and secondary schools and has held senior positions within educational publishing. His most recent teaching position was as Head of Year in a large comprehensive school. He is currently living in Devon UK where he's working on his next novel.
