Please excuse the pink edging - this is a new (and not very
good...) scanner, and I'm still getting to grips with the
settings.
First drawing in a LONG time (like, a year, I think!), but my new
roleplaying character - a Dark Heresy (game) Tech Priest (class)
called Abscissa - was too much of a delicious design opportunity to
pass by. Basically, Dark Heresy is a bit like Dune in setting, and
Tech Priests are a slighty bonkers organisation who 'worship'
machines, seeing metal as the 'the true flesh', hence all the
cybernetic and mechanical enhancements. This is how I envision
Abscissa after a few more levels - she's not quite just a brain in
a jar surrounded by metal yet, but she's definitely well on her way
to replacing that corruptible mortal flesh with something far more
'holy'... ;-)
Thanks, Liss! It's just a sketch right now - I'm not entirely sure
what I am going to do with her yet in terms of colouring, but she
was a lot of fun to design. xx
Thanks, Geri, Wrath! I have developed quite a thing about cyberpunk
designs over the last few years - I'm still learning how to
successfully render mechanisms (much better at organic stuff,
because I am a bit of a numpty when it comes to machines...), but
they are still fun to play around with. There is something a bit
Borg like about the Tech Priests - although I have to admit it was
the potential for cable tentacles that really swayed me into
playing one (ANY opportunity to have tentacles must be leapt upon
with much gusto!). The only problem with playing around with
character designs like this is that going back to designing
'normal' characters always seems a bit dull... XD
