    General fiction
If you write in more than one area, what is your next most favoured genre?
    Historical fiction

Prefer to let rip and edit afterwards
    Your ultimate writing ambition?
To get the novel sent off. To have it accepted, to find that there is time to edit the old one and begin the new idea. For the characters in my historical drama to be on screen. All naval uniforms and Jane Austen dresses. For my ebook to be a POD

A conspiracy from start to finish. My work will die with me

    In my study/home/beside the sea/anywhere
What else do you want Word Clouders to know? eg: do you have 9 cats / like paragliding / eat nothing but tinned fish / work in the bath / live in Kettering?
Looking back life has taken me down so many paths - lots of experiences that I would never have imagined. Not the journey I expected.

So long as he keeps doing things then there must be a chance. The brain is quite strange. Vulnerable yet resiliant. When my father had his episode there was a strange thing. He couldn't do handwriting. It wasn't physical, he could hold a pen, even ...

Very sad, how something like that can suddenly knock someone in the prime of life sideways. It does sound as if Nick has the right attitude - the strength to fight is so important psychologically in the recovery process.

Was it Dorrance Publishing? I'm feeling a little harrassed by them right now. Another email this morning, after I told them 'No'.
And that was you on my Facebook, I see. I was wondering, but I thought it might've been a Cloudy =)

Ah, thank you. The song is from a little-known TV show called 'Dead Like Me'. I love it - but they cancelled it after 2 seasons *sigh*
I didn't think it should be fun rejecting a publisher... Maybe I should have? It's a rare opportunity, isn't it? It was a vanity publisher anyway. They would've published my book, but it would've cost about $10K American. No thanks! =P

Thank you for the tree tip, Bren. Will try that, as well as pruning, which it does need anyway, as getting a bit too large for the spot.
