by Caducean Whisks 1 year agoSorry to hear this, Kaz. Forgive me if I'm speaking out of turn, but strikes me that they way to deal with it might be to empower Hayden himself to deal with it. There will always be bullies - if not this boy, then someone else, and you have no control over the others. How about sending him to martial arts classes or somesuch? At least it'll give him an outlet for the stress, and may give him the inner confidence that will mean he's not picked on in the first place. I went to self-defence classes once (after I'd been mugged) and it made me feel so powerful when I knew what to do, that I never had to. It's horrid - and dangerous - to think of yourself as a victim - bullies can smell it a mile off and cluster like wasps round a jam sandwich. So perhaps give him the skills to stand up to the other boy, rather than try to make the other boy back off? Apologies if you've already considered this.
