About
I'm 19 years old. I'm spontaneous & easy going, even though i'm also really stubborn (stubborn as hell jajaj)but I know what I want and I get it. I'm very passionate about everything so I tend to do things wihout thinking; but my two greatest passions are Music & Writting (my whole life turns around those two things). My favorite kind of music is classical music. I love to write about everything even if it's a simple thought or happening. I have never been good when it comes to attaching to people, so my only attachments are to Music & Writting. I also tend to find inspiration in the most unexpected places & the most unexpected things. This is less than a fraction of who I am, the rest of me is in my wrtting.

by Tony 2 years agoHi Betty. (I stupidly posted this on my own wall this morning. So sorry for the delay.) I (had) just listened to "No Sound but the Wind". Why isn't it called "Help me to carry the Fire"?? I'm listening to it again as I write. I think it probably grows on you. The guy has a good voice but I didn't like the very pedestrian rhythm of the guitar chords for the first half. Although the rhythm doesn't change, the backing does get more interresting about half way through, which was when the song came alive for me. I preferred it with the vocal backing as well, although going back to the solo voice at the end was quite effective. So I think my vrdict would be "not bad", but like I said, I expect it could grow on me.
I play rhythm guitar and harmonica, myself, though not so much these days. In my youth I was in a gospel group, playing, singing and writing. I love harmony - that's the best part of music to me. Each part has it's own intrinsic value, but together, the parts give much more than the sum of their individual contributions - a lesson in life for all of us, each trying to do our bit: working together with others in harmony can be so much more effective. ;-) -
by Joey 2 years agoHa, the fact that it's messed is what I like about it.
I've actually drinking lots of luke-warm tea to be the most helpful.
Those are good sonnets as well though. Oh I've got to run but I'll talk to you later. -
by ShaunBerge 2 years agoAh, you make me blush (in a manly way, of course).
I came on today to check if I had anything at all and I had two (2!!) notifications, exciting stuff! And then i saw they were from you, also exciting! And then best of all I saw you had become a ranting sort of person. Best type! Well, as long as we keep it interesting, and you pass with all sorts of colours.
Your life certainly sounds an odd mix of everything, but I think it looks like writing and music are often what helps get you through a lot of it, perhaps you already show that in your writing. I admit to having an oddly dramatic and unfortunate life for a lot of it, but that'll all have to stay with me for the time being. I only want to write something based around myself if it helps to my writing career and has purpose, I'd like my writing to be seen before I am seen.
To paraphrase a quote (from who, I can't remember), "Great art hides the artist."
I'm not going for that exactly, but in a way I am. I want people to see my work and not me (not yet). Or if you look at it another way, I want people to see my work when they look at me. Or to notice my style of writing and go "Ah, that's Shaun *swoon*."
I am a lover of music, but not a player of or dancer to. I hear music to find the feeling that it shows, I sing (awfully, but who doesn't?) and I often try and convert the raw emotion of music into writing. My argument is that music is a shortcut to raw emotion whilst writing is a slow and long journey to get the real emotional connection. A song could take a minute to get it, while writing will often take many many pages.
If you'd like to e-mail me your work I'll be happy to take a look at it. I'll send you my address in a message! -
by Tony 2 years agoBienvenu Betty. I hope you day is well and truly started by now and school is a dim memory for the time being. Enjoy browsing the Cloud - you'll meet some great people. (I love your music track btw, which I'd never heard before. Do you play any as well as listen?)

by Joey 2 years agoOh are you Spanish speaking? I'm not, as much as I love learning languages I'm awful. I speak very broken French and a few words of Polish (not very nice ones though :D)
Well I'm big into music. I like Death Cab as well I have the album that song is off, Plans, it's probably their best one. I'm a singer (though not at the moment because I was got my tonsils out.) and I'm learning guitar.
I just love shakespeare. Do you have a favourite sonnet? Mine's 116 "Let me not to the marriage of true minds, admit impediments love is not love,"
gorgeous. I have the complete works I got in three lovely hardback volumes really cheap in Eason's sale last year. And I have a little copy of hamlet I bring around with me. I've seen the one with David Tennant playing hamlet three times and I have it on DVD. -
