by Tee 1 year agoHello! I'm so glad I found you on here - remembered your chicklit author name. :) The journey home wasn't too bad - two hours crammed between two little boys, who thankfully fell asleep. I'm glad you're feeling inspired and I hope the editor loves the rest of your work (bet they will) :D

by Tony 2 years agoNo deadline for the Festival of writing, as such, Brookie, but there are two factors to consider. The sooner you book the more choice you have over which agents to see one-to-one (although many of the time slots will already be booked by now); and there is a deadline for submitting a sample of your work for said agents to read (see the festival site for that - early March, I think).

by Lotta 2 years agoIt's too obvious if I edit at work. Instead I open up a spreadsheet and type in all my ideas for what I'll work on that night - same thing but safer. Aiyla keeps telling me I'm not allowed to start my second draft until it's cooled at least three weeks. But I can't wait that long.

by Aiyla 2 years agohello Brookie.I don't edit at work but quite often cannot resist the urge to steal a blank sheet of paper and cover it all up with lovely words.

by fred 2 years agoThanks for that encouragement. You won't be any more of an amateur than I am I can assure you. You will find that everyone here is very kind in their comments so you mustn't be too shy.
Best,
Fred
