Information
  • Are you a ...?
    Unpublished writer (so far)
What genre do you primarily write in?
    General fiction
    Are your reading habits ...?
    Omnivorous
    Who is your favourite author(s)?
    Ian Rankin...at the moment...but it's very fluid.
And your all time favourite books? (You can change these at any time, by the way ...)
Good grief...I didn't know this involved homework! 1. To Kill A Mockingbird 2. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo..(the whole trilogy counts as one I guess?) 3. The Shipping News 4. The Rotters Club 5. Lord Of The Rings 6. Any Ian Rankin Rebus books
What are your working habits when you write?
    Perfectly balanced
Are you the edit-every-sentence-ten-times type, or do you prefer to let rip?
    Ten times? Why so little?
    Your ultimate writing ambition?
Well every first timer must put 'to be published here'...so I'll not upset the apple cart. I'm hopeless with a brush and shovel anyway.
    Your worst habit?
Watching the number of characters get lower and lower here and having to re-write the damn thing. Ok....I can be a tad long winded.
Your opinion on the books industry?
Too much celebrity and hype, but good books still get through
    Where do you write?
Home and work...nowhere outlandish. I do live in the frozen north tha knows.
What else do you want Word Clouders to know? eg: do you have 9 cats / like paragliding / eat nothing but tinned fish / work in the bath / live in Kettering?
I own an art gallery. I play the guitar and sing in a 3 piece acoustic band, where I do a fair bit of song writing. No cats, just one dog now...at the moment!

Echoing all of the above Bren and wishing Nick a speedy recovery. He does sound to have a positive frame of mind.

Vegetarian poo is totally different to carnivore poo - it has more structure (like plants), and isn't as obnoxiously smelly (like animals). I became quite interested when I got the chickens (*had* to be interested, more like). Fascinating stuff, ...

Ah, tales of poo - I could tell you a few - sheep, chickens, dogs, cats and horses..........yuk. Have you ever watched a cat? They hate it if you watch them so you have to be sneaky. I watched Mr Puss out in the field, by the gate, where the sand ...

Wigan is famed for its pies, that are available during contests of association football and rugby football to the other code at the venue for those occasions. However, I don't think there really is a Wigan pie as such.
