by Rebecca Holmes 1 year agoWe were on the north part of the island near a laid-back little village called Vrboska (I think), where the local shopkeepers at the bakery, bar etc would chat when they served you and wave when you walked past. We went across the bay to Jelsa for a day, which was very picturesque and Venetian and a nightmare because if you made the mistake of looking at stuff that was for sale, the trader practically pinned you against a wall to get you to buy something.

by Rebecca Holmes 1 year agoHi Acorn - I went to Hvar about 20 years ago - pre-kids and civil war (coincidence??). It was lovely, though the hotel food was atrocious. We ended up eating in a friendly pizza place in nearby village most evenings. Which part did you go to?

by Acorn 1 year agoSo first there was the author who paid actors to ride the NY subway reading her book and laughing animatedly, now there is a man who has written 'Read Ayn Rand' accross the whole of the USA. What's next in the book marketing world? What would you do?
